Due to my hectic schedule (which involves watching internet porn & feeding my pet hamster Mookie), it's hard for me to keep up with any TV programs. I watch sport shows like 'Around The Horn' & 'Pardon The Interruption' daily but in terms of network shows, there's only one that has kept my attention from start to finish. That show, my friends, is 'The Office'. I had always heard good things about the BBC version w/ Ricky Gervais so when the American version premiered, I decided to give it a try. Well, it's safe to say that I've been hooked like a mofo.
One of the main reasons I enjoy the show is Michael Scott, boss of Dunder-Mifflin played by Steve Carell. Since the show's inception, Carell has been brilliant as the ignorant, annoying, yet lovable Scott. Sadly, on April 28th, his tenure on the show came to an end. Did I shed some tears? You damn right I did. :*( Will Ferrell, who guest-starred on this season's final three episodes, seemed to be the possible permanent replacement. When I heard the news, boy let me tell you, I was one thrilled lil man. However, after watching Ferrell struggle to hit his stride in this season's final stretch, it seems like what looked like a good match on paper didn't translate on the screen.
Regardless, this isn't about Ferrell or any other possible replacements. The truth is, there can be no replacement to the legend that is Michael Scott. And with that said, I dry my eyes & present to you this clip, a compilation of his signature phrase, 'That's What She Said'. After viewing this, there will be no doubt why this saying ended up sweeping the nation. Michael Scott, I will miss you dearly. Thank you for years of quality television.
